His expertise includes leading digital teams, driving new business as well as managing large-scale, digital-driven, multi-modal marketing campaigns for clients like Coca-Cola, Maybelline Garnier, Sony Ericsson, Walt Disney, BMW and Chase across geographies.

Wannee Ruttanaphon, chairman of IPG Mediabrands in Thailand, said, “It’s important to have people in our team who both demonstrate a passion for digital strategy and the skills and experience to back it up. Ram has both and we are pleased to have him lead the digital team.”

Raja was most recently with Iris Worldwide, heading the digital remit for the India offices. He was responsible for building Iris’ digital capability in India between 2009 and 2011, having won key digital AOR clients in the market.

Prior to moving to New Delhi, he was based in New York, working as digital director at UMarketing Inc, where he led digital-driven direct response campaigns. He was also one of the founding team members Publicis Dialog’s digital operations in New York.

Commenting on his appointment, Raja said, “I am very excited to be a part this amazing team. The leadership’s commitment to digital and the exciting prospect of driving digital in a growing market like Thailand – both convinced me to take up this assignment. My focus will be on ensuring that our clients succeed in Digital and get a world-class digital team to enable the same.”
