GroupM's Miner joins ESPN Star Sports

SINGAPORE - ESPN Star Sports (ESS) has appointed James Miner (pictured), the former head of creative services at GroupM Asia-Pacific, as senior vice-president of digital media.

Miner, who has 17 years of experience in the online and digital space, will be responsible for further development and commercialisation of ESS’ digital business as well as realising ESS’ plans to create a unified media experience across its digital properties. He will also oversee the further development of ESS’ digital product offerings and explore new opportunities in the digital space.

At GroupM, Miner was responsible for establishing its Asian creative services division, developed and oversaw regional service offerings and managed key client relationships with blue-chip companies.

Prior to joining GroupM, Miner worked with Blue Interactive Marketing, Scient and Y&R Advertising in Asia and with About.com, Prodigy Online, and Sachs Insights while in the US.
