This appointment came after a four-way pitch that took place last month. The company invited four local agencies, included Fortune and Oze, to pitch for creative duties around the new product, an SUV (sports utility vehicle) due to be launched next year.

The name of the new model is still unconfirmed.

Daihatsu handed the integrated campaign for another SUV vehicle, Terios, to Oze in August last year, following a three-way pitch which involved DDB, Grey and Dwi Sapta.

The agency has handled Terios since its launch in 2006 through the umbrella campaign ‘Play your wild side’.

According to a survey compiled by Nielsen in partnership with Campaign, Daihatsu is Indonesia's fourth most popular automotive brand, behind Toyota, Honda and BMW.

Among DM Pratama Communications' clients are Esia, Wimode, Peugeot, Pesona Jewelry, Parisian and King Koil.
