To date the company has managed research projects across China from its regionally-focused Hong Kong office.

Chris Farquhar, Cimigo managing partner, said the time is right to have a client-facing office in Mainland China as more and more clients are based there. It is also the next logical step in the company's Greater China strategy, he added.

General manager Sam joins Cimigo from her most recent position as director with Synovate. Sam has 18 years' research experience across a wide range of industries, including FMCG, retail, finance, telecom and travel and tourism.

Farquhar said, “Daisy was the natural choice to lead our Shanghai team and add a great deal
of value to our clients there. Her background is in both economics and sociology, meaning
Daisy has an integrated perspective on the functional, emotive and social aspects of her
clients’ business issues.”

In other appointments for Cimigo, Marcos Leung joins as director in Shanghai and Michael Ellis as director in Hong Kong. Leung has 12 years' experience working in China and Hong Kong. He also joins from Synovate in a previous role as associate director.

Ellis has 16 years' research experience working on many regional and China accounts across a broad spectrum of categories.
