Chen (pictured) will report to the agency MD Michael Tan, who was appointed last March.

Chen brings with her over nine years of independent and 4A agency experience. Fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, English and Malay, she had most recently worked for DraftFCB, Ogilvy & Mather and as account director with BBDO Malaysia for three years.

During her career, she has built a solid experience in PR, event, digital and CRM while managing an impressive portfolio of blue-chip clients including Fonterra, PepsiCo Beverage & Food, Wrigley, Mars, Johnson & Johnson, Kraft Foods and Beiersdorf.

Saatchi & Saatchi X spokesperson said that they are still reviewing her role, which initially would be focusing on non P&G accounts.

Reported last month, Saatchi & Saatchi X hired Eugene Choong as senior account director; and Simon Clancy as senior planner for its cosmopolitan shopper marketing Greater China and Asia-Pacific team.
