BBDO Guerrero appoints joint-ECD

MANILA - BBDO Guerrero has promoted Dale Lopez to the position of executive creative director, joining current ECD Tin Sanchez in the role.

BBDO Guerrero appoints joint-ECD

The appointment will see Lopez taking over the management and development of the creative department, while Sanchez will concentrate on creative output, key client relationships and developing new creative opportunities.

The appointment aims to strengthen BBDO Guerrero’s stated mission to be the leading creative agency in the country.

David Guerrero, creative chairman at BBDO Guerrero, noted that the appointment is recognition of Lopez’s part in the recent success of the agency and of the desire to create more successful campaigns.

“I am certain that both he and Tin will thrive with their new responsibilities,” he added.

Lopez joined BBDO Guerrero in 2004 as associate creative director and has since worked on campaigns for the Philippines Department of Tourism and Pepsi.

He has been part of the team that has been responsible for the “It’s More Fun” campaign for the Philippines Department of Tourism, as well as two recent campaigns for Pepsi––the Liter Of Light campaign––in conjunction with MyShelter and also Pepsi Pinas, an affectionate spoof of classic Filipino action movies.

Tony Harris, chief executive at BBDO Guerrero, said, “It is always a powerful sign when you can promote from within, and Dale has proven himself to be a highly professional and well-regarded leader.”

He went on to comment that The Philippines is coming up with creative success, following several international awards won this year.

“The Philippines has never been at a better creative profile," Harris said. "It is good for the whole industry."
