Lindauer hopes sobbing guys will get Kiwi girls partying

AUCKLAND - Lion Nathan's sparkling sauvignon-blanc brand Lindauer asked DDB New Zealand to get girls in New Zealand enjoying more nights out with the bubbly vintage.

wide player in 16:9 format. Used on article page for Campaign.

The brand and DDB Group New Zealand collaborated with Danish director William Stahl to produce a TVC "with a difference".

The idea behind the TVC, 'Don't worry boys',  was to "create a twist on a fundamental human truth... that plays on the fact  that as much as guys hate to admit it, they’re a little bit hopeless when their loved one leaves them to their own devices, even for just a night", said the agency.

The video is largely inspired by a short film by Stahl.

Although how a bunch of sobbing men will get Kiwi women eager for a celebratory night soused on bubbly is anyone's guess.
