Photos: Edelman Hong Kong's 'Bring your parents to work' day

The agency hosted a group of parents, who learned what their kids actually do for a living.

For LinkedIn's Bring In Your Parents day, Edelman Hong Kong hosted a group of parents who came in with their offspring to learn more about what a career in public relations entails.

The agency gave a brief, bilingual (Cantonese and English) explanation of what it does for clients, from communications to marketing to research, and shared two bilingual case studies from the past year. The presentation explained the process of identifying opportunities, developing insights, designing strategies and achieving business results to make a positive impact for clients. Many of the parents who attended work in either finance or government.

According to Adrian Warr, managing director, the day also had another purpose beyond education:

Edelman’s a family-owned business and a tight-knit Hong Kong team. Bring In Your Parents gives us a chance to explain what we do, show off great campaigns and, of course, get a glimpse at embarrassing childhood pictures of colleagues.
