HootSuite hosts 'HootUp' to bridge Vancouver and Hong Kong digital communities
Allan Leung from HootSuite and Kevin Lepsoe/Catherine Tan/Alexander Tan from Notey co-hosted a HootUp (similar to a MeetUp or TweetUp), a casual event to bring together startups in Hong Kong and Vancouver. Attendees from the social media and tech community gathered for some alcohol, aptly called Hootsuite swag, at the Shore restaurant and bar. Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson and Conservative Member of Parliament Wai Young networked with more than 80 guests.
