
The report evaluates global agencies on a set of 10 diagnostic criteria including agency profile, new business success, growth, management changes, digital and diversified services resources, client roster profile and local strength.
The aggregation of the RECMA qualitative evaluations produced in 31 countries puts OMD at the top of the network ranking with 154 points. In second place is Mindshare with 146 points, followed by Carat and MEC tied in third place with 144 points and Starcom MediaVest in fifth position with 128 points.
OMD Worldwide CEO Mainardo de Nardis noted a key reason for the firm’s ranking, “In addition to our strength in established markets, we have tremendous momentum in regions like China, India and Russia – markets that represent the biggest growth opportunities for our clients.”
The rankings showed that OMD earned scores of ‘dominant’ in six markets, along with strong scores in both Asia-Pacific and Europe. OMD also tops the list of RECMA Global Billings Report as the largest media agency globally, with a 10.9 per cent share of global media investments.
