Out of 9,000 people polled across six countries in Asia, it also turns out that Indians and Malaysians are the most likely to propose marriage via email.
“Once viewed as less personal compared to the phone or hand-written notes, email is becoming the new norm through which people share various forms of intimacy, as can be expected in this digital age,” said Haresh Khoobchandani, chief marketing officer for consumer and online at Microsoft Asia-Pacific.
Out of all the Asian countries to take part in the poll, Filipinos trump everyone when it comes to showing their passion via email. Nearly 60 per cent have written love letters via email compared to the regional average of 33 per cent.
