BEIJING - The Hoffman Agency has named Text 100 China MD Chris Tang as MD of its Asia-Pacific operations, filling a role that has been vacant since the departure of Susan Tomsett earlier this year.

Tang will remain in Beijing as the agency shifts its regional HQ to that city from Hong Kong. “One of the priorities was the importance of the China market,” said Hoffman Agency founder Lou Hoffman (pictured). “I would also say that entrepreneurial spirit is important. Bravery is a valuable asset for whoever is going to lead the charge.”

Tang departs Text after seven years with the agency, including five in China. Prior to joining the agency in 2001, she ran her own agency for three years.
