Replacing Telford in the Hong Kong office is executive director Brendan Shair (pictured), who will be promoted to MD of the Hong Kong operation.

Telford replaces UK head Michelle Norman, who is leaving the company to spend more time with her family.

Shair, who joined Synovate in 1997, has over 13 years experience in Asia and Europe, and has worked with clients such as HSBC, Mandarin Oriental and Yahoo.

“In responding to the economic slowdown, research on customer experience, safeguarding loyalty and satisfying current clienteles are our immediate focus,” said Shair.
