Under a seven-month contract, We Are Social will be responsible for building excitement locally and amongst the running community for the event, which take place in Singapore on 2 December.
The aim is also to inspire participants to keep up their training regimes and build a sense of legacy after the event.
We Are Social has already begun a social media audit in preparation for the campaign, monitoring conversations over different social channels, and creating relevant content for the marathon’s social platforms.
It will continue to do this as well as manage the Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore Facebook page, engaging with the community, and managing and responding to customer enquiries. We Are Social will also stream live coverage of the event to fans of the Facebook page.
“The Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore is a really exciting event which has captured the imagination of people in the city every year," Simon Kemp, managing director of We Are Social Singapore, said. "Over the coming months, we want to create even more energy around this year’s event, making sure it’s something that everyone can feel a part of, and can be proud of.”
