OMD Taiwan wins three new accounts

TAIPEI - OMD Taiwan has snapped up three new accounts including Vizio TV, Golden Castle online game and a local branch of insurance company MassMutual Mercuries Life.

The pitch for Vizio TV, a Taiwanese-based high-definition LCD and Plasma TV brand, took place in August. Starcom and Media Palette were also involved. Vizio TV has annual billings of US$1.5 million. OMD will work with the client’s in-house production department, with the first campaign targeted to launch at the end of this year.

Separately, OMD has also scooped a buying assignment for MassMutual Mercuries Life Insurance, which has an estimated annual billings of US$1 million, and another local client Golden Castle online game.

Deryk Tang, MD of OMD Taiwan, said: “OMD Taiwan already works with several international clients. Our objective is to also focus our resources to help strengthen local Taiwanese brands."
