McCann Healthcare Worldwide Singapore hires account director

SINGAPORE - McCann Healthcare Worldwide Singapore has appointed Boehringer Ingelheim medical director, Dr. Virna Gamalinda-Balingit (pictured), to its Complete Medical Group (CMG) as account director.

At Boehringer Ingelheim Philippines, Gamalinda-Balingit led its medical affairs, clinical research, regulatory and drug safety departments and had also spent 10 years at GSK Philippines where she was head of clinical research.

Mark Ingrouille, region director of Southeast Asia for McCann Worldgroup, said: “This appointment is in line with our commitment to build our medical communications resources to offer a world-class level of healthcare communications in Singapore.”

“With senior leadership from Dr. Phil Mitchell (regional director CMG, Asia-Pacific), 2009 looks to be our biggest growth year yet,” continued Ingrouille.

McCann Healthcare Worldwide Singapore comprises two advertising and promotion agencies (McCann Healthcare and McCann Humancare) and the medical communications company - Complete Medical Group.
