Lisa Wei joins OMG as CEO of its buying operation OPera in China

SHANGHAI - Lisa Wei (pictured) has been appointed by OMG as CEO of its buying operation OPera in China.

Wei will assume her position at the end of this month and report to Elaine Ip, CEO for China at OMG. 

Wei recently resigned from Mindshare after working there since 1997. She held various senior executive posts at Mindshare and GroupM's office in China, including partner for the Exchange in Beijing. Prior to joining Mindshare, Wei also worked for Ogilvy Group in Taiwan.

Stella Lee joins the OMD China team as managing partner (Beijing) from Universal McCann where she was deputy managing director responsible for both Guangzhou and Shanghai operations. In her new role, Lee will focus on driving business development for OMD Beijing.

Meanwhile, Sonia Lee has also joined OMG China as managing partner from Mediaedge:cia. Armed with over 17 years experience, Lee started her media career in 1994 where she joined Dentsu Young & Rubicam as a media executive working on Colgate. She later joined Euro RSCG as media manager and moved to Mindshare to work on clients such as Intel and Philips. Lee will be based in the network’s Guangzhou office.

"We have a world-class network in China and we're constantly looking at ways to strengthen and improve our offering with good talent to ensure we meet our clients' expectations and stay ahead of the curve," said Ip.
