Gunn Report released: Dentsu and BBDO lead APAC showing

The Gunn Report tabulates results from 45 global, regional and national creative award contests for the calendar year.

'Sound of Honda', the project that paid tribute to F1 racer Aryton Senna by using telemetry data to re-create the sound of a legendary lap, is the year's most awarded campaign across all Gunn Report media.

'Sound of Honda' also appears at No. 1 among the list of most-awarded digital ads and No. 3 in the 'All Gunns Blazing' category—the organisation's equivalent of what some awards programmes call 'Integrated'.

The Honda campaign's success landed Dentsu Tokyo at No. 2 on the list of most-awarded agencies as well as No. 2 on the list of most-awarded agencies in digital.

The other APAC agencies to appear among the top 3 are:

  • Clemenger BBDO Wellington: 'Mistakes' for the New Zealand Transport Authority is No. 3 on the list of most-awarded film commercials
  • BBDO Proximity (Singapore): The ‘Un-Cinq’ campaign for Guinness Draught In A Bottle ended in a tie for the top spot in the most-awarded print / out of home ads and campaigns.
  • Clemenger BBDO (Sydney & Melbourne): No. 3 on the list of most-awarded agencies in digital.

Looking at the overall results (see below for details):
