Group.Eight names Vietnam MD

HO CHI MINH CITY - Singaporean integrated marketing communications group, Group.Eight, has named former media manager at Da Viet, Kelly Do Thai Bich Thuy (pictured), as managing director of its office in Vietnam.

Reporting to Group.Eight CEO, Watson Lee, Do will oversee operations in Vietnam and drive business opportunities while identifying potential strategic partners for merger and acquisition opportunities to strengthen the group’s offerings in Vietnam.

Group.Eight Vietnam currently houses four local agencies including, Vietmai Advertising, Curiosity Vietnam, IO Media and DDV Interactive, specialising in event marketing, advertising, public relations and interactive media respectively.

“Kelly’s appointment comes timely, as we tap into the huge opportunities in Vietnam. We will be working closely together to identify opportunities for business expansion as well as manage our partners and agencies in Vietnam,” Lee said.

Do brings with her more than five years of media and marketing experience, having worked on global brands such as Sony, Fonterra and Everpia plus Vietnamese brands including Sacombank, Eximbank, Thuy Duong Real Estates and FV Hospital.
