Fleishman-Hillard names new Australia general manager

SYDNEY - Fleishman-Hillard International Communications has appointed Chris Newman as general manager in Australia, effective immediately.

He moves to Sydney after previously being vice-president for Melbourne and assumes the role vacated by the resignation of Walter Jennings. 

Newman joined the agency in 2007 in the UK and the Middle East, specialising in corporate communications and issues management programmes for a portfolio of private and public sector organisations.

His more recent roles saw him servicing the requirements of the agency's Australian clients such as McCain, Philips, The Nature Conservancy and Brightstar.

Prior to joining Fleishman-Hillard, he spent time working in politics and was also an executive committee member of Eulogy!, the UK's leading B2B marketing services agency.

"Newman's exceptional track record positions him to play a pivotal role in delivering first-class consultancy services for existing and prospective clients in Australia," noted Lynne Anne Davis, regional president and senior partner at Fleishman-Hillard Asia-Pacific. 

Fleishman-Hillard's operations in Australia involve providing PR services across the healthcare, technology, consumer marketing and corporate/ financial services sectors.
