She will work closely with Lynne Anne Davis, president of the Asia-Pacific region, and collaborate with senior market leaders to execute business plans that further fuel the agency's managed growth.

The new role will also see her assisting Fleishman-Hillard clients with wider issues (such as emerging markets facing a middle-class squeeze) affecting their own growth.

"Our strength and influence in Asia-Pacific are increasingly crucial to clients in the west who demand high-level support and insights across the region," said Dave Senay, Fleishman-Hillard's president and chief executive officer. "I have enormous confidence in Beth's ability to work with our regional leadership team to optimise our tremendous potential in the region."

Boswell joined Fleishman-Hillard 17 years ago, and has spent a total of 11 years working in the Asia-Pacific region, including in China, India, and Indonesia. Prior to taking this new role, she was managing director of reputation management for the region.
