DHL chooses Waggener Edstrom for PR

SINGAPORE - Logistics company DHL has chosen Waggener Edstrom as its new regional public relations agency partner after a competitive pitch with a number of undisclosed agencies, displacing incumbent Golin Harris, which has been holding the account for five years.

Anita Gupta, senior vice-president of corporate communications and sustainability for DHL Asia Pacific said, “We were looking for a new PR partner with creative energy, good team work and that has a good understanding of business and global viewpoints.”

“We are cautiously optimistic about our business. Like most other business, we are not immune to the economic downturn, but will continue to be hopeful about the business,” she added.

Waggener Edstrom is tasked for coming up with a series of creative execution and implement PR strategies in Asia in the coming year.

O&M currently holds DHL’s creative account. DHL competes with other international logistics counterparts like UPS and TNT.
