BBDO's Jennie Morris joins Saatchis Singapore

SINGAPORE – Australian Jennie Morris has joined Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore from BBDO Dubai as creative director.

During her time at BBDO Dubai, she was the creative director on the Emirates Airline, Mercedes-Benz and Mars accounts, and later one of the first female executive creative directors in the Middle East region. She was also an executive board member of the Dubai Creative Club.

Before relocating to the Middle East, Morris worked in Sydney and has more than 14 years of experience.

Morris described Asia as a "great place to be right now".

Bruce Matchett, Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore and Malaysia’s executive creative director, commented on the appointment, “Jennie is a creative talent with a proven track record on big brand assignments. She is a welcome addition to the senior creative leadership in the agency.”

This is the first major appointment for Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore and Malaysia since Paul Roebuck came on board as the CEO in November last year. Roebuck, CEO of BBDO Guerrero Proximity Philippines, was appointed to replace Dean Taylor, who resigned in end-July.

Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore has seen several movements in recent years. In August 2009, its general manager Robbie Bempasciuto left the agency to launch his own consulting business.

The resignation came several months after Taylor took over as Singapore CEO, and followed departures by business director Fred Eng and operations director Esther Yue.

In February this year, Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore named Lauren Ahearn as the senior digital strategist, while it appointed Melanie Cook to the position of planning director the following month.

The Saatchi & Saatchi network has 140 offices in 80 countries and 6,500 employees.
