Campaign Asia-Pacific is pleased to present the YouTube APAC Ads Leaderboard, a monthly list curated by Google.

It’s Diwali, so it’s fitting that this month four out of the top 10 ads come from India. But that fact belies the wide range of topics and styles on display in the list: with ads from TV channels, banks, FMCG brands and auto manufacturers and, besides India, companies in Korea, Vietnam, Taiwan and Japan. Much like Beams’ mesmerising progression through 40 years of pop culture in Japan, the brands here seem to be having having fun playing with different styles—from the light hearted song-and-dance routine of Vinamilk to the more serious-minded documentary feel of the Star Plus, Honda and 104 Job Bank’s ads.
