Competing with period dramas of Chinese TV, Haoli Hu has created his own fantasy comedy that is currently up to episode 15. In it, he plays a man who conjures up his own inner magical powers—flying, morphing, invisibility, walking through walls—in an alternate reality where he battles a tyrant called New White Snake.

Using TV footage and his own special effects, Hu adapts the plots of famous stories, resulting in a crazy and entertaining comedy.

Through TMG Originals, Hu is currently in talks with brands who wish to partner with someone that can so quickly and organically drive such interest.

Bizarre Video Channel of the Week is produced in partnership with TMG China, a Thoughtful Media Group company, which operates China’s first MCN, TMG Originals. Our aim is to provide intelligence about what consumers are watching—as well as a bit of Friday fun.
