Uniqlo enlists Orlando Bloom and Charlize Theron as brand ambassadors

Uniqlo has mostly used Japanese stars and models in its previous ad campaigns. As part of a year-long contract, the Monster actress and Lord of the Rings star will appear in Uniqlo's worldwide advertising campaigns.

The new global ad campaign for Uniqlo's Heat Tech 'Made For All' collection starting this month comprises of TVC, print, Facebook and in-store display.

The pair will promote the company's new tagline, which focuses on its commitment to providing well-made, good-looking clothing for everyone, regardless of nationality, age, occupation or gender.

The new Japanese TVCs features Bloom getting set for a snow-boarding trip; despite the falling and wintery day he looks warm and relaxed in a black Uniqlo jacket and heat tech t-shirt. Theron speaks of her thoughts on simple things in life that makes her happy.

The creative and media planning are both done by Dentsu Japan. The campaign is shot by Alexi Lubomirski and styled by Nicola Formichetti. Japanese model and actors Meisa Kuroki and Ryuhei Matsuda will launch their versions of the TVCs later this year.
