Unilever's Rohit Jawa appointed to global marketing role

SINGAPORE - Rohit Jawa has been appointed as the senior vice-president - global marketing operation, for Unilever, based out of Singapore

Jawa moves from handling this role for the Asia, Africa, Central and Eastern Europe region to leading the function globally. The appointment is the result of the recent reorganization of Unilever to eight market clusters and four categories.  
 
Jawa reports to Harish Manwani the CEO of Unilever.

The appointment comes into effect from 1 September.  Jawa will continue to be based out of Singapore, which highlights the country’s role as a global hub for Unilever.
 
As a leader of marketing operations function for Unilever, Jawa will be responsible for channelising the category strategy into action in the markets.

In addition, Jawa’s team will lead the implementation of the marketing capability agenda in the markets, specifically the best practices in market development and digital. He also represents the marketing function on the Global Markets Leadership Team.
 
Jawa will leads a team of experienced marketing operations VPs based in all the recently defined eight clusters around the world and a central team of analytics and marketing excellence professionals.
