The Marketing Academy unveils inaugural APAC Fellowship Program

Non-profit industry education body, The Marketing Academy, has unveiled the CMO participants who are joining its inaugural APAC Fellowship Program.

The educational group, which develops leadership talent in the marketing, advertising and communications industries, has been running the board level, executive development program, designed exclusively for CMOs in the US and EMEA for the past 15 years, but this is the first time the high-profile program will run in APAC.

The inaugural 2023 APAC cohort members are listed on the graphics below.

The APAC Fellowship Program begins in July and runs for 9 months. Aimed at helping CMOs to make the transition to a CEO or broader C-Suite role, the curriculum involves three immersive residential events and masterclasses covering all elements of board stewardship including strategy, corporate finance, organisational health, leading transformational change, operational effectiveness and stakeholder influence.

Fellows are assigned an executive coach for the duration of the program and can benefit from one-on-one mentoring with seasoned board members. The program is supported by McKinsey & Company, board level coaching organisation; Wisdom8, Oscar Trimboli and marketing leadership expert Thomas Barta, who is also global dean of the program. It is sponsored by Salesforce.

"We are so excited to bring the Fellowship to the APAC region this year and can’t wait to meet the cohort at their first residential in Australia later this month," said Sherilyn Shackell, founder and global CEO of The Marketing Academy. "Bringing together marketing leaders from China, Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong, Australia and India will provide a culturally rich experience for the entire cohort."

Acceptance to The Marketing Academy programs is merit based and all programs are delivered free of charge to the selected cohorts. More information can be found via their website
