Danny Chan has been appointed executive creative director at TBWA Beijing, signaling a restructure of its creative team.

With his strong background and experience, particularly in digital, TBWA Beijing’s chief executive officer Paul Lee said Chan will help build TBWA into one of the strongest, fully integrated agencies in Beijing.

Chan started his career in advertising 17 years ago, and has worked with agencies such as Saatchi & Saatchi, D’Arcy, McCann Erikson, FCB and Grey. He was most recently executive creative director at BBDO Beijing.

Since 2003, Chan has worked in China for multinational clients and local clients in Beijing, Shanghai, Qingdao and Guangzhou. Chan has won multiple awards included a bronze Cannes Lion, Mobius Best in Show, Graphis Best in Show as well as awards at Spikes Asia, One Show, New York Festivals, Long Xi and Kam Fan.

Ian Thubron, group president of TBWA Greater China, said, “TBWA is one of the most creative companies in the world and it’s important that China contributes to this position, as well as benefits from the reflected glory. So it’s crucial that we hire only the very best talent, and Danny is amongst the most recognised CDs in Beijing.”
