SHANGHAI - Proximity Live has won the PR business in China for Loro Piana, a luxury Italian cashmere brand, after a pitch against several undisclosed agencies.

Proximity Live wins Loro Piana
Proximity Live will oversee Loro Piana’s annual “World Wool Record Challenge Cup” ceremony and VIP gala dinner hosted by the brand CEO Pier Luigi in Beijing.

“It is the first time the event is brought to China, which is testament to their long-term commitment to China,” said Simon Tung, senior business director, Proximity Live.

Loro Piana launched the "World Wool Record Challenge Cup," an initiative that recognises the professionalism of sheep breeders by offering a further reward for their commitment to producing quality wool.

Meanwhile the agency has beefed up its senior executive manpower by taking on Jamie Chua as the new business director. Chua has six years of 4A experience including McCann-Erickson, Ogilvy & Mather and BBDO in Malaysia, Singapore and Shanghai, and has handled multinational accounts including Audi, DBS American Express Black Card, Unilever and DHL.
