Nielsen to launch Homescan panel in urban Thailand

BANGKOK: ACNielsen will shortly roll out a new consumer panel service, Homescan, to measure consumer purchase information from a panel of over 2,000 households in Greater Bangkok and the upcountry urban areas.

"This scanner-based technology will provide marketers in Thailand with a clearer picture of purchase dynamics in the retail sector, as well as a more efficient view of shopping behaviour trends," said Sunchai Anuman Rajadhon, MD of ACNielsen Thailand.

ACNielsen - Homescan will provide detailed analyses consumer demographics, propensity to purchase, brand loyalty, consumer repertoire, purchase volume and product cannibalisation and so on.

The technology adopted by Homescan is available in 22 markets globally, including the USA, Australia, Hong Kong and, now, Thailand.
