Mindshare's Jon Chadwick is Maxus Australia's new CEO

SYDNEY - Media planning and buying company Maxus Australia has appointed Jon Chadwick as its new chief executive officer.

Based out of Sydney, the new CEO will replace current chief executive David Gaines in October and will work closely with chief operating officer Mark McCraith, who works out of Melbourne. 

Chadwick was previously based in Portland, Oregon in the US, where he was global managing partner at Mindshare running the Global Nike business. According to Chadwick's LinkedIn profile, he started working for Mindshare Vietnam in 2001, eventually moving to larger roles in the organisation in Singapore and Europe. He commenced his career in Australia working with DDB and Media Decisions (Bates Group).
 
Apart from Nike, he has worked on multinational businesses including Unilever, Samsung and GSK. 
 
The company’s outgoing CEO, David Gaines is leaving the agency to start a new venture. But due to the confidential nature of the business, Gaines will be making a further announcement in due course, the company said.
