HKTB seeks to engage travellers with online dance competition

The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) is celebrating summer with a series of events including a digital initiative enabling people to become music video dance stars.

The ‘Summer Spectacular Music Video Cool Dancers Wanted' campaign is accessible through the HKTB's Discover Hong Kong website. The site, developed by Grey and Agenda Hong Kong, uses rich media, with 3D face-mapping and motion tracking technology to create an interactive experience for visitors.

The online campaign targets young adults in Greater China and people and across the Asia-Pacific region. People are invited to upload a photo, which will subsequently be superimposed onto dancers in a themed music video. The most-viewed entry stands a chance to win vouchers for HotelClub.com, stays at W hotel and watches from Chouette.

Participants can share their entries across social media platforms like YouTube, Tudou, Facebook, RenRen, Twitter, Keixin001 and Sino Weibo.

The campaign will run until 31 August.
