Steve Jobs. The man who created a revolution. Who challenged everything, and changed everything.

He turned creative industries upside down and then right side up.

Because of him, nothing will be the same any more.

He’s changed the life of every designer, art director, writer, creative director, photographer, illustrator, film director, marketer, musician, animator...

In fact, he changed all of communications as we know it.

I met Steve Jobs once when I worked on Apple at TBWA in Asia during the “Think Different” days. Nobody better than him understood just how powerful Apple was as a brand and how it would change the world.

And Change it did. Perhaps he saw more than that too. He saw how powerful WE could be with the tools he gave us.

If the brilliant “Think Different” campaign were to run again today, one more name would be added to the manifesto “The Crazy Ones”.  Steve Jobs.

Here’s to Steve Jobs and his legacy.

And here’s to Apple, may it continue to follow in his footsteps.

-----

Here's to the Crazy Ones!

The misfits.

The rebels.

The troublemakers.

The round pegs in the square holes.

The ones who see things differently.

They're not fond of rules.

And they have no respect for the status quo.

You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them.

About the only thing you can't do is ignore them.

Because they change things.

They invent.  They imagine.  They heal.

They explore.  They create.  They inspire.

They push the human race forward.

Maybe they have to be crazy.

How else can you stare at an empty canvas & see a work of art?

Or, sit in silence & hear a song that's never been written?

Or, gaze at a red planet & see a laboratory on wheels?

We make tools for these kinds of people.

While some see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.

"Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do."
