Frederic Moraillon joins Akamai as Asia-Pacific marketing lead

SINGAPORE - Cloud platform provider Akamai has named Frederic Moraillon as its new vice president of marketing for Asia-Pacific.

Based in Singapore, and with the appointment effective immediately, he will be responsible for driving overall branding, field marketing and public relations for the company. He will report to Akamai vice president of Asia-Pacific and Japan Sanjay Singh.

Prior to joining Akamai, Moraillon was running a boutique public relations firm and software sales business. He has a unique understanding and specialisation in the technology sector, having previously held senior leadership roles with organisations such as Business Objects, the SAS Institute, PeopleSoft and Silicon Graphics.

Moraillon has previously held senior leadership roles with French enterprise software company, Business Objects, software producer the SAS Institute, PeopleSoft and Silicon Graphics. In his roles, he has also led, coached and been part of numerous start-ups, including a number of successful specialist software vendors.

Akamai says the appointment marks its first step in to driving growth in the key markets of Asia-Pacific.
