In the latest Dos Equis spot, from Havas Worldwide, the legendary character is blasted off into space on a one-way trip to Mars. It’s the Heineken brand’s way of saying goodbye to actor Jonathan Goldsmith, who—after an amazing nine-year run—will be replaced by an actor to be named later. The move comes just weeks after it was revealed that Goldsmith is locked in a legal battle with his talent agency after he refused to continue paying them, though Dos Equis claims the change had nothing to do with the lawsuit.
