Twitter announced it would offer geo-targeted promoted tweets and a dashboard that enables marketers to access data regarding their followers. The new ‘Follower Dashboard’ shows how a brand’s followers have increased over time, breaks down their gender and location, and displays what interest they have shown.

Microsoft appointed Chris Capossela as its new global marketing chief to spearhead its consumer channels business. Capossela has been with the firm for 20 years and moves across from his current role as senior vice-president of the Office division.

Innity ranked highly in comScore’s latest reports revealing the top ad networks in the region. It emerged as the largest ad network in Vietnam, reaching out to more than 85 per cent of Vietnam’s 6.9 million internet audience, and ranked as the largest in Indonesia, reaching over 77 per cent of Indonesia’s 9.2 million internet audience.

MRM Worldwide China picked up the digital account for L’Oreal’s active cosmetics division. L’Oreal China held the digital pitch in late 2010 for the division, covering three brands – Vichy, La Roche-Posay and SkinCeuticals.

Austen ‘Oz’ James Dean joined Tequila Digital Singapore as creative director. He moves from Sydney-based Tequila Australia where he was responsible for driving digital campaigns for the agency’s major clients.

Ad2One and Unseen TV linked-up to launch services to clients and agencies across Asia-Pacific. The partnership aims to increase awareness of viral video seeding, as well as reveal business solution opportunities in Singapore.

360buy.com, the Chinese e-commerce site awarded its digital account to OgilvyOne, estimated to be at US$10 million. The e-commerce site deals across multiple product categories including AV, home appliances, automobile accessories, mobiles, computers, clothing and cosmetics.
