Defence Ministry issues tender for media agency

SINGAPORE - The Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA), an agency of the Singapore Government's Ministry of Defence, has issued a tender for a media agency for its Total Defence campaign.

According to the tender document, agencies are to respond to the DSTA’s RFP for its Total Defence campaign in 2010, which has been “adopted as a framework for a comprehensive and integrated response, bringing all Singaporeans together, to deal with all kinds of threats and challenges” including “global terrorism or a national crisis like SARS”.

The appointed agency would be contracted for two years. The DSTA currently conducts its own media planning and buying and this is the first time it will be appointing an agency for its media needs, according to a spokesperson.
