7-Eleven Malaysia will be giving away an iPad 2 and other attractive prizes through the first-ever real time game show aptly named ‘Price for prize’, on its official Facebook page at Facebook.com/7elevenmalaysia

Developed by Futurelab Asia, ‘Price for prize’ is open to over 10 million Malaysian Facebook users, offering an opportunity for everyone to play together in real-time.

The game show will take place every Tuesday and Thursday, from 12pm to 2pm, starting 23 May for three weeks until 13 June 2011.

The object of the game is to compete against other users to guess the total price of the items in a basket in the first round.

10 lucky players will proceed to second round from where four will stay on for the third and final round where one lucky player will go on to win all the items in the basket and a bonus mystery item.

This marks the first time a game show is being conducted on Facebook in Malaysia. "The game show takes place in real time, so we're really pushing the boundaries of what is possible on Facebook," said Vic Sithasanan, chief executive officer at Futurelab Asia.

“Our ambition is to make the whole 7-Eleven experience a rewarding one. Being able to buy your favourite items at any time from over a thousand locations in Malaysia is definitely something special and rewarding. We have been steadily enhancing our in-store experience and having an online and hugely social experience like ‘Price for prize’ allows us to show our customers the type of experiences we have for them now and the future,” commented Tan U- Ming, executive director of 7-Eleven Malaysia.
