Huang (pictured) will report to the agency’s MD, Evan Teng.
The agency announced the news internally on 8 April. Huang’s key responsibility will be new business development. JWT Taipei has been operating without a GM in the recent past.
An experienced ad man in Taiwan, Huang was previously GM of Leo Burnett Taiwan and long-serving GM at Batey Advertising.
A source close to the agency commented that Huang has more senior experience than his new boss, Teng, who could not be reached for comment. Huang declined to comment.
