HONG KONG - Robert Salvoni (pictured), currently managing director of Europe at research firm Harris Interactive, has been handed management for Asia too after the departure of Anthony Venus.

Harris Interactive appoints Robert Salvoni as MD of Asia
Salvoni's move is part of a global restructure at Harris Interactive. He took on the MD role in Europe this May.

Venus, currently president for Asia, will leave in mid-November. According to a company email, he is relocating to Sydney, where he is from originally, to pursue a career in private equity.

Salvoni will oversee the management of the Asia operation. He will also focus in expanding the presence of Harris Interactive in the region and strategic planning on expansion into mainland China, specifically.

Salvoni will continue to be based in London, and report to Kimberly Till, president and CEO of Harris Interactive.

Venus joined Harris Interactive in 2007, and has more than 13 years of experience in Asian markets.

“As with many industries, market research has been affected by the global economic downturn, though we are starting to see some good signs of recovery. The Asian market seemed to be impacted less than other areas, and the opportunities for growth here are fantastic,” said Till.

Harris Interactive recently appointed former Mindshare executive Jamie Lord as regional vice-president.
