Blayney replaces Andrew Leakey (pictured), who has assumed the role of General Manager of Wrigley Pacific. He will be responsible for all marketing activity for Wrigley’s portfolio of gum, mints and confectionary brands throughout Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.

Blayney joined Wrigley in 2005 and has played an important role in raising the performance of Wrigley’s gum segment, according to a statement from the company.

Under Blayney’s supervision, the Eclipse brand became a market leader within 18 months of launch.

Prior to joining Wrigley, Blayney spend 12 years at Procter & Gamble Australasia and South Asia, and was most recently marketing director for Campbell’s at Campbell Arnott’s.

As GM for the Pacific region, Leakey will be expected to drive growth and lead operations for 10 brands.
