Saatchi & Saatchi X Guangzhou announces new appointments

GUANGZHOU - Saatchi & Saatchi X, the network's retail and shopper marketing arm, has made a series of new appointments in China.

Jay Steere (pictured) joins as MD of Greater China replacing Barney Hylton (regional MD) and Marc Rivoira (China GM). He will report to Worldwide CEO Andy Murray. 

Steere has 20 years' marketing and advertising experience with a strong retail and FMCG background on both agency and client side. His most recent position was MD of Anthem Singapore, handling multinational accounts like Procter & Gamble, Coca-Cola, L'Oreal, adidas, Apple, Citibank and Philips. His previous stints also include founder of media/brand consultancy Nomadz, regional director of marketing for Visa Asia-Pacific and MD of DDB China.

Meanwhile, Sarah Anderson joins as regional account director on the Procter & Gamble account. She has 14 years' experience developing integrated marketing campaigns in various markets across Asia. Her previous positions include director of JWT Connect, business director at Digital @ JWT Vietnam and more recently activation practice lead APAC at JWT Thailand, working on wide portfolio of clients including Unilever, American Express, IDV (Diageo), Pfizer, Mazda, Ford and Rothmans.

Joshua Foo joins as group creative director and Steven Yu joins as creative director and head of design. Foo replaces Charlize Chen as group creative director and will be working closely with Yu who also started this month. Foo was most recently creative director at Brand China Shanghai and Yu joins from his position as creative director at VM&SD in Singapore.
