Rediffusion DYR, G3, TBWA scoop Nutrine accounts

Nutrine Confectionery has appointed Rediffusion DYR and G3 Commu- nications to handle two of its flagship brands, while assigning fruit bar brand Naturo to TBWA\India. The previous incumbent on all three was Mudra Comunications.

Rediffusion is now in charge of candy brand Maha Lacto, while G3 handles chocolate brand Éclairs. The size of each account is thought to be US$1 million.

"Consumers buy brands and not the company and, at some level, our brands compete with one another," said BL Venkateshwar, senior vice-president, sales and marketing, Nutrine.

"The idea is to have some internal competition, so that each brand acquires a unique and distinct edge. We needed agencies that can carry forward what we have built, while giving us a contemporary and modern image."
