NHN Line appoints Text100 Malaysia as PR agency

KUALA LUMPUR - Mobile messenger application Line, a property of Korean internet service provider NHN, has appointed Text100 Malaysia as it public relations agency, effective immediately.

Text100 will provide strategic communications services for Line in the Malaysian market with the aim to engage more users, according to a press statement issued by the agency. Line is an app that allows users to make calls and send messages, both nationally and internationally. It was launched in June 2011 and has 110 million users.

“The partnership with Text100 is an important step in our overall marketing initiatives in becoming the world’s No. 1 communication service,” said Simeon Cho, general manager of Line, NHN Corporation.

To achieve this, Line plans to reach out to both local media communities and its user base.
