Multimedia event heralds Nokia smartphone

Nokia will launch its latest smartphone, the N80, in Singapore through an interactive, multimedia rollout.

Nokia will set up tents in the city's CBD, surrounded by WiFi zones, where consumers can surf the net for free using WiFi-enabled handsets. To draw people into these booths, salesgirls will sport wearable LCD screens. The outdoor effort is further supported by print ads and below-the-line executions. The month-long effort is handled through MediaCom and Kinetic Interactive.
