With the appointment, healthcare-focused PR agency Tonic Life Communications will be tasked to encourage men experiencing hair loss to consult a doctor.

Rae Chew, managing director at Tonic Life Communications Singapore, noted that male pattern hair loss is a common problem and research has shown men are spending on various methods of treating hair loss instead of seeing a doctor.

She adds that the campaign would involve working with medical institutions and other important stakeholders to create awareness among men with hair loss to consult a doctor.

“Tonic is our preferred PR partner because they are experienced in developing campaigns that create awareness and encouraging people in need to see a doctor. They have demonstrated a thorough understanding of male pattern hair loss as a medical condition, and impressed us with their extensive contacts among physicians and the media. We are excited to start rolling out the Male Pattern Hair Loss awareness campaign as soon as possible,” explained Simon Loh, product manager of MSD Singapore.
