McCann absorbs Weber Thailand

McCann Worldgroup Thailand CEO Mark Ingrouille has confirmed the integration of Weber Shandwick's Thailand operations into McCann, following the resignation of the PR agency's office head and senior vice-president Peter Emblin (Media, September 23). "We have agreed to take over Weber Shandwick assets and people and bring them under the McCann Worldgroup umbrella," said Ingrouille. Weber Shandwick regional president Andrew Pirie added that resulting staff redundancies at the 30-person office would number "in the single figures", and confirmed the departure of vice-president Pensri Tasnavites.
