Li will be responsible for the operational and strategic growth of Maxus Beijing, for which she has worked for since 2006. Brands under her care include Haier, Lenovo, Renhe Pharmaceuticals, and Luxgen Auto.

Li reports directly to Annie Hsiao, president of Maxus China, who commented, "Li Meng’s deep understanding of the China market, and her proven track record in client management have won much respect from her colleagues."

She added that Li is Maxus’ first homegrown leader out of the agency's strategic training and career development programme. In July, Maxus brought two media veterans on board: Robert Lai as national head of digital, and Leon Chen as managing director of Maxus Shanghai
