Google's APAC president moves into Global role

SINGAPORE - Daniel Alegre, Google's president of Asia-Pacific sales and worldwide mobile, is expected to replace Henrique de Castro, vice president of partner business solutions.

Google's APAC president moves into Global role

De Castro, who leaves Google after a six-year stint, is taking over as chief operting officer of Yahoo on 22 January 2013, according to Yahoo. 

Google has not said who will be taking over from Alegre. 

Prior to Google, Alegre was vice president at e-commerce company Bertelsmann. He was also the managing director for BMG Music between 1997 and 2000.
